Tom Reed
Academically trained, Tom has an unusually wide range of experience in different art forms and styles, including:
- Drawing and painting in the studio and outside in nature.
- Drawing from life and from photographs.
- Illustration for picture books, magazines and storytelling.
- Different approaches to using colour.
As class sizes are small (maximum 8 people – often less), there is plenty of time for individual guidance and advice.

How do the courses work?
Classes take place in a small, welcoming studio setting where everyone gets individual attention.
You’ll draw, experiment, make mistakes, and improve — all in a supportive and relaxed environment.
There’s no pressure, just steady progress and honest guidance to help you grow.
At the Foundation Drawing Course, you will learn:

- Understanding proportions and relationships

- Mark-making and the use of colour
- Different mediums — pencil, charcoal, ink, watercolour, etc.
- Techniques for drawing accurately
